Our Mission: 

Takes A Village Foundation is a specialist CIC dedicated to  understanding and fixing Mental Health Disparities in Our Communities. 

We are the community-led bridge that ensures the Trusts meet their mandatory Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) obligations. By combining the EMHIP model Key Intervention 3 (KI3) Mental Health Mediator , we transform wards from spaces of coercion into spaces of consensual, culturally-competent care.

Our Core Pillars 

* Leadership & Governance :  - We provide the "Community Voice" required at the Board level to ensure the policies are actually implemented on time and to all.

* National Competencies: -  We train and manage Mental Health Mediators (MHMs) who bring lived experience and cultural awareness to clinical teams.

* Feedback & Accountability: -  We ensure that patients and carers from racialized communities are not just heard, but are co-producers of their own care plans.

Our Vision: 

A world where everyone can thrive. We're creating a more equitable  society through accessible community hubs that offer tailored support to  individuals, families, and businesses.

Our Focus:
We  apply this mission to address inequality and health disparities  head-on. We support Black and ethnic minority mental health through a  dual approach: by improving systemic issues from the top down and equipping  individuals from the bottom up. Together, we can build a future where  everyone has the opportunity to thrive!.
